Counseling may focus on a range of issues, such as
•  types of giftedness and talent
•  combination of giftedness and learning disabilities
•  issues related to giftedness in the family, in relationships, at school and at work
•  reflection on previous experiences in light of newly recognized giftedness
•  personal and professional needs, goals and development

If indicated, psychological assessment including intelligence testing can be performed. In most cases, this consists of an initial interview, followed by two to four hours of testing and then by presentation and discussion of the results.
